Probably, even this millenium, an "archive worm" will find an ancient document, as this has happened before and discovered that out city is much older than we think. Then we will have to re-write the initial chapters of the Moldovan capital's history, hurriedly correct even the latest editions of reference books and guides. However, as it has not happened, and Kishinev has not been announced as the contemporary of Rome, the beginning of its history was originated from 1436, and the city, as before, is rather young - it is only 563...

It was decided by the city administration, that ignoring such a remarkable cause for the holiday would have been the unforgivable mistake. It had been arranged in accordance with the settled tradition. The holiday day was extraordinary successful comparing with that of the previous year - gloomy, rainy and dull. This time it was surprisingly warm, very sunny, and just in some places the autumn made the foliage yellowish.

The program of the holiday comprised an abundance of different arrangements. They frequently coincided with each other, and our compatriots (including officials) were hardly able to visit most of them. Therefore, our narration about them will turn out to be incomplete and we are not able to mention all their participants, we bring our apologies to them.

The holiday was opened in the square of the Great National Meeting.

The Kishinev inhabitants who cherished hope to receive the Grand Prix of one local firm were less lucky. The subscribers who had been paying for its services, far from being qualitative, found themselves in the number of competitors to receive the automobile, promised to the winner. But the time of competition repeatedly delayed, and the auditorium was encouraged with the fashion show, singers and other performers. When this spectacle took place, at last, it turned out that the "winner" is absent.

Those, who preferred the second half-final of the championship of CMS (the Club of the Merry and Smart - an amusing show) (the first championship happened in the same place) or symphonic orchestra in philharmonic society, opening "The Days of World Music", felt themselves much calmer. These listeners knew where they had gone and were not disappointed. The music-lovers appreciated the acting technique of the musicians. The admirers of the humor, going out of their halls, were sharing their impressions about the heard jokes and discussing the chances for the victory of their favourite teams.

The young music-lovers, crowded the central square of the city, were extremely satisfied, according to their words. The show called "Kishinev - the love stronghold" was mainly addressed to them. The participants were the local pop and rock "stars" and for dessert – a one-could-hardly-dream surprise. The American "Harley Davidson", appeared on the stage, provoked the storm of delight of the having fun auditorium.

The night, fallen to Kishinev, was run through by the firework and the capital of Moldova was kept awake, because the participants of the traditional "Khora mare" were dancing to the major chords of the melody on the square of the Great National Meeting.
