The Monuments of Kishinev
The Monument to Alexander I

It is the monument to Russian Emperor Alexander I, who visited Kishinev in 1817. The information about his location is contradictory. In the "Kishinev" Encyclopedia, it is said that it was put in the city park. The monument to I.V. Stalin was erected in its place later. Still, there is infomation that it was located in the Central Square vis-a-vis the Arch of Victory near the Bessarabian Eparchy.
