Perhaps, you lived here long ago and the wind of time blew you away, but your heart has kept a dear afterglow… Then we will help you to brighten it up in your memory, see a lot of things that are still of a great importance to you and tell you what Kishinev is like now. 	Kishinev is on the verge of millennium

Having preserved for centuries, the remains of the former watchtowers situated on the seven hills of the city and the ruins of the old fortifications used by the inhabitants as shelters and protection against the foreign invasions are true witnesses of the past. The history of the city is reflected in the city's edifices, monuments, memorable places, parks, squares etc. The main moments of the material and spiritual life of people are immortalized in the names of streets, squares, boulevards. This guide offers to Kishinev inhabitants, but especially to the guests of the city, the possibility to discover the city of the past and present, at the same time drawing their attention to the documentary sources and folklore".

On this small server http://www.net.md/impressions/ you will be able to see the Kishinev centre cyclorama, pictured on 11 August 99 in the day of the solar eclipse from the reconstructed bell tower in the park of Cathedral, made with the different resolution as well as animated city pictures.

We have a request to anybody who visits our pages, devoted to Kishinev: if you have any interesting facts connected with our city or interesting and quality photographs of its historical places, give everybody the opportunity to get acquainted with them on our server.
